V.E.A.R. Toward Your Goals Presentation

In last months ezine I spoke about the arrival of spring. But here we are on April 12th and as I look out my window everything is covered in white and the snow is continuing to fall.

Hopefully in my May edition, spring will truly have arrived!

The purpose of last month's issue though was to tell you about the new V.E.A.R. article I posted on the website and alert you to the accompanying presentation I have prepared with it.

Well on Wednesday, April 25th I'm going to be doing this motivational talk at the Churchill Seniors Center (Richmond and Churchill - the old Town Hall) at 7pm in Westboro (Ottawa). This presentation is open to the public.

This 45 minute presentation talks about how I have applied V.E.A.R. (Vision, Energy, Attitude and Resolve) toward reaching many of my goals (completing the Rudy Award, building my own off-the-grid solar home, working as a firefighter and flight paramedic, living in Europe, South America and the Rocky Mountains, etc.). So the presentation is a combination of Goals Realization Theory with real life examples.

This is a generic presentation designed to help people focus on their goals regardless of what they are. The V.E.A.R. process can help with fitness, financial, relationship, and work related goals. I've been presenting a version of this seminar to many of the groups at the Slater St. Running Room and the general feedback has been that sharing my views on "Energy" have resulted in some of the best training runs of the season. I'm hoping to hear of even better results on race day!

It's a truly energizing, motivating and fun talk. I guarantee you'll enjoy it. No pre-registration is required. Just show up and bring a friend. It's 5 bucks at the door.

I am now in the process of expanding this article into a book. I have a publisher all lined up and we are hoping to have the book on the shelves this Fall. Hopefully I'll be able to provide a few presentations as I promote the book in other regions of the country.
